Become a Volunteer

Objectives of Volunteer Service

Tsui Lam Centre’s volunteer service aims to promote community concern for victims of family violence. The volunteers’ active participation helps us deliver quality service which enables victims to feel cared for and supported. This is to foster an atmosphere of mutual help and social harmony.

Volunteers’ Involvement/Services

Accompany victims while they are involved in the police investigation, to attend court hearings and handle other related legal proceedings

Help victims to locate and receive relevant community services, including housing, financial support, schooling, medical and child care etc; Provide home visits & guidance and training on home safety and basic skills in personal care, care to family members and household management; Assist to run activities & promote service etc.

A volunteer should be

Aged 18 or above, positive and non-judgmental in attitude, willing to patiently and wholeheartedly listen to the victims.

To become a volunteer

Volunteers are required to complete volunteers training course, pass the interview before they can register as Tsui Lam Centre’s volunteers to participate in voluntary services.

Volunteers are required to regularly join training for volunteer services.
